Dr. Christopher Hebert, MD
Dr. Christopher Hebert founded KAHD in 2005.
Recognized as one of the top physicians in the field of nephrology and hypertension. A native of Dallas and Jesuit graduate, Dr. Hebert received a biology degree from St. Edward’s University in Austin and then completed all his medical education at UT Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr. Hebert’s main passion is education, and he now maintains an active faculty position at Texas A&M HSC College of Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center where he has been since 2005.
Dr. Sana Ahmed, MD
Sana Ahmed, MD is a dedicated nephrologist who has been a valued member of the practice since 2010. She earned her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed her nephrology fellowship at the University of Buffalo. Passionate about patient care, Dr. Ahmed finds fulfillment in supporting her patients through every step of their health journey.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her three children and family, creating cherished memories along the way.
Dr. Gates Colbert, MD
Gates Colbert, MD FASN is a Nephrologist and Hypertension Specialist that has been with KAHD for over 10 years. He did his Nephrology Fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
He is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine in Dallas and is one of the Nephrology Fellowship Co-Program Directors at Baylor University Medical Center. Dr Colbert is on the Board of Directors of the Dallas County Medical Society and is on the Board of the National Kidney Foundation of Texas.
Whitney Bonser, AG-ACNP
Whitney is a dedicated provider in kidney disease and hypertension. As a Board-Certified Hypertension Clinician and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, she provides expert inpatient and outpatient care, focusing on improving patient outcomes through education, prevention, and personalized treatment plans. Remains active with the Hypertension Center and Critical Care Fellowship in a preceptor role at Baylor University Medical Center.
Passionate about patient advocacy, Whitney is committed to empowering individuals with the knowledge and care they need to manage their health effectively.

Erin O'Banion
Erin is our office administrator. She has a passion for making a difference in the workplace by fostering a collaborative and productive environment. When she's not seeing to the duties of the practice, she enjoys diving into the world of books, where she can escape into different adventures. She spends her free time crafting and enjoys crochet, drawing, and DIY projects. Her love for animal's shines through in her care for her furry friends and the wild birds that stop by her yard. Erin is married and the mother of two wonderful boys. Her family is her anchor, and she finds great happiness in creating cherished memories together.
Amanda Ortiz
Amanda is a certified medical assistant since 2015. Her passion for patient care shines everyday through her outstanding optimism and room brightening smile. Outside of her professional life, loves to express her creativity through singing and dancing. She also finds immense joy in doing makeup for others, helping them feel their best and boosting their confidence. This creative pursuit is not just a hobby but a source of happiness for her on her days off.
Above all, Amanda is a devoted mother to three wonderful children, all whose names start with the letter "J." Her family is her pride and joy, and they are the heart of her life.
Haley Valle
Haley is a certified medical assistant with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. In her role, Haley works closely with healthcare providers to ensure compassionate and attentive care for patients, always prioritizing patient well-being. Outside of her professional life, she is passionate about exploring new destinations, always eager to embark on her next travel adventure.
Rebecca Villareal
Rebecca has been a dedicated member of KAHD for over 15 years. She began her journey as a Medical Assistant and continues to provide exceptional care today. In her current role as the Primary Prescription Liaison, Rebecca plays a crucial part in assisting patients with prior authorizations and financial assistance, ensuring they receive the medications and support they need.
Her commitment to patient care and advocacy makes her an invaluable asset to the team.
